Additional Traffic Switch Scheduled Friday on U.S. 50 in Seymour

(SEYMOUR) – Work is progressing on the $15 million pavement reconstruction contract along U.S. 50 in Seymour. A number of traffic switches and shifts have taken place since construction began in April, with another planned for Friday (Oct. 2).

U.S. 50 from Agrico Lane to Sandy Creek Drive
On or after Friday, all traffic will be moved to the westbound side of U.S. 50 between Agrico Lane and Sandy Creek Drive as crews begin reconstruction work on the eastbound side of the roadway. This will put all traffic on the westbound corridor throughout project limits, from Dupont Drive to U.S. 31, with two travel lanes in each direction and turn lanes available at Myers Street. Access will be maintained for all residences and businesses located on the south side of U.S. 50. This configuration will remain in place through late fall or early winter.
