$2 Million To Be Returned to Bedford Redevelopment Commission

(BEDFORD) – The $2 million that the Bedford Redevelopment Commission allocated towards the Bedford Wastewater Treatment Plant contract will be returned. The funds are being returned because the bids received were lower than projected for the needed upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant, so it was recommended that the money be returned.

The five-year payment of $116,000 a year will remain and go towards the wastewater project. A resolution to amend the $2 million allocations will be voted on at a later date.

The Bedford Redevelopment Commission may redesignate the funds to other proposed Bedford Utility Projects such as the Spider Creek project, or Broadview lift station projects.
