Bloomington Police Investigate Traffic Accident With Vehicle Striking Home

(BLOOMINGTON) – The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a traffic accident with a van striking a residence at 220 North Adams Street.

Police and emergency crews responded to the scene just before 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

When emergency crews arrived they found the driver of the vehicle was unconscious. The driver had to be freed from the wreckage by the Bloomington Fire Department.

The occupants of the home also suffered minor injuries.

A gas line at the home was damaged by the vehicle and a Vectren crew was alerted to make repairs.

The area near the home was evacuated until the repairs could be made.

Bloomington Animal Control was also contacted to help remove four dogs from the home. The animals could not be removed until the gas was shut off.

The home was severely damaged.
