(BEDFORD) – Two men were arrested Thursday night after a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputy stopped their vehicle on State Road 37 after learning the Ford Explorer they were in had a license plate on it from a white Oldsmobile.

Police arrested 33-year-old Devin Straight and his passenger, 34-year-old Jordan Wheeler, both of Orleans, on charges of possession of meth, possession, and possession of marijuana.

Both men were arrested after K-9 Flek alerted police to drugs in the vehicle.
Police recovered marijuana, a container that had meth residue in it and a baggie in a cigarette box that had crystal meth in it.
