(GREENE CO.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announce a road closure on State Road 54 near Springville for a slide correction project.
Beginning on or around Tuesday, Sept. 15, contractors will close State Road 54 between East County Road 325 South and Phillips Lane, about 17 miles east of Bloomfield to stabilize a geological slide.
This type of correction will stabilize an area in which erosion is presenting a threat to the roadway.
Work is expected to last for about a month depending upon weather conditions. During the project the road will be closed to through traffic. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. All others should use the official detour following S.R. 58 and S.R. 45.
