2020 Community & Urban Forestry Assistance Grant Application Now Open

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Community and Urban Forestry (CUF) Program, with funding provided by the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service (USFS) announces the 2020 Community & Urban Forestry Assistance Grant (CUFA) are open for application.

This grant provides funds for projects including the inventory of public trees and an accompanying urban forestry management plan, urban tree canopy assessment, storm response planning, tree planting, public and/or staff education, and public outreach. Please note the following:

  • Grant awards are available for a minimum $1,000 and a maximum $25,000.
  • This grant requires a 1:1 match.
  • Indiana municipalities, townships, tribal governments, counties, park districts, and 501(C)3 not for profit organizations are eligible.
  • Applications are due Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. ET
