Obituary: Michael Earl Holsapple

September 11, 1946 – August 21, 2020

Michael Earl Holsapple, 73, of Williams, passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Friday, August 21 st at his residence.

Born September 11, 1946, in Bedford, he was the son of Eugene L. and L. Maxine (Mundy) Holsapple. He married Darnell Hatfield on December 17, 1966, and she survives. He retired after 40 years as a Tool and Die maker for General Motors. He attended Faith Mission Church where he was Sunday School Superintendent and ministered at the jail and nursing home for over forty years. He was a member of the UAW 440, the National Rifle Association, and was a former Scout Master for Troop 33. He enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends, going to church, working outside, and
spending time in his garage. He loved God and people and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving with his wife, Darnell of Williams are one son; Jeremy Holsapple (Amy) of Williams and one daughter; Abi Lewis of Bedford; six grandchildren; Michael, Luke, Hayden, and Ethan Holsapple and Kaleigh and Owen Lewis; two sisters; Beverly Trowbridge and Julie Lewis (David) both of Bedford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two Brothers; Ronnie and Larry Holsapple, and one sister; Loretta Pemberton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 27th at the Faith Mission Church at 26th and R streets in Bedford with Rev. J. Stevan Manley and Rev. Aaron Wardlaw officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at Faith Mission Church from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26th, and from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at Faith Mission Church.
