(BEDFORD) – Two Bedford teens were arrested after a report they were attempting to break into a house in the 1200 block of 17th Street early Sunday morning.
“Officers attempted to stop both the 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old male,” said Chief Terry Moore. “The 17-year-old stopped. The 14-year-old did not. Officers eventually located the 14-year-old male hiding in a backyard.”
While speaking with the 17-year-old, police say he appeared to be intoxicated and admitted to smoking marijuana.Â
“Probation was contacted and requested both be released to parents with a promise to appear forms signed,” added Chief Moore.
The 17-year old is facing charges of public intoxicatation and the 14-year-old is facing a charge of resisting arrest by fleeing.
