Free Outdoor Entertainment In Bloomington

(BLOOMINGTON) – The Performing Arts Series offers the Bloomington community numerous opportunities to experience the talent of its local artists. Enjoy free, outdoor performances in venues throughout the city.

The summer season means free outdoor concerts on Thursday at Peoples Park, Fridays at Switchyard Park, Sundays at Bryan Park.

Today, Hot Flash will perform acoustic folk, Celtic and eclectic music at Peoples Park from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

On Sunday, August 9th Mark LaPointe and the Janiece Jaffe Trio will perform a back-to-school show 5:30 p.m. with the main show at 7:15 p.m. at the Main Stage at Bryan Park. The show is free but tickets are required, order your free ticket by here.

On Thursday August 13th, High Street Jack will perform classic rock, blues and soul music at Peoples Park from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

On Thursday, August 20th, John Kogge will perform acoustic folk and blues and jazz standards at Peoples Park from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

On Sunday, August 27th spend the evening with the Blooming Symphony Orchestra at Switchyard Park State at 7 p.m.

2020 Free Movies in the Parks Series

Bloomington Parks and Recreation and the Ryder Film Series present free movies on the big screen in city parks. Movies being at dusk; see estimated start times. Please be aware that some of the movies have a rating of PG-13.

On Friday, August 21th view The Princess Bride at Bryan Park at 9:15 p.m. Admission is free but a ticket is required and can be obtained by clicking here.
