Orleans Chamber Executives Attend Economic Summit

(ORLEANS) – Orleans Chamber of Commerce President Randy Clark and Chamber Executive Director Robert F. Henderson were among chamber executives attending a Summit held last Thursday at Patoka Winery. 

The meeting was hosted by State Representative Steve Bartels to hear first-hand from the regional chamber, tourism, and economic development officials on COVID-19 related issues impacting communities.

Also participating in the dialogue was Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and Senator Mark Messmer. Attendees presented a number of challenges they were facing in their individual communities including budget shortages, education, community development, tourism opportunities and health care. 

Other local participants included Zach Brown of Orange County Economic Development Partnership (OCEDP) and Kristal Painter with Visit French Lick/West Baden.

The Summit was held in conjunction with a workshop sponsored by the Indiana Chamber Executives Association (ICEA) focusing on a day of learning helping Chambers succeed on the “Road to Recovery.”
