Medora Man Injured After Vehicle Hits Cattle In Roadway

(MITCHELL) – A Medora man complained of pain after his vehicle struck cattle on US 50 West at the intersection of Wayne Beasley Road Saturday night.

According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report, 62-year-old Philip Cummings was traveling westbound on US 50 when cattle entered the roadway from the south side of the road and he struck them with his 1999 Ford Expedition.

The force of the impact caused the airbags in the vehicle to deploy.

Cummings refused medical treatment.

Three of the cattle were injured during the incident.
