(UNDATED) – Positive Link is now offering three flexible options for free HIV testing.
Positive Link, in collaboration with the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), is offering three different options for free HIV testing.
Testing options will now include: by appointment, in-office testing; drive-up
(“walk-in” style) testing; and at-home, private testing.
If you are interested in any of these options, please contact the preferred office location for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Option #1 – In-office Testing
If you would prefer a face-to-face experience with one of our highly trained health educators, we continue to offer in-office testing. This continues to be by appointment only at their Bloomington, Terre Haute, and Paoli locations. Scheduling and risk assessment is conducted over the phone ahead of the scheduled appointment. Contact the preferred location to schedule an
appointment.
Option #2 – Drive-up (“Walk-In” Style) Testing
Beginning Aug. 3, we will be holding drive-up testing in place of our normal walk-in hours. If you are interested in coming in for testing but do not feel comfortable entering our buildings, you may call the desired location ahead of time on Mondays, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in Terre Haute and Paoli and 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in Bloomington, and a health educator can meet you in a designated area outside of the buildings for testing, straight from your
car. More information to follow. Please check their Facebook page for updates.
Option #3 – At-Home Testing
In partnership with ISDH, officials are offering at-home tests. If you have lack of transportation or other transportation issues, or live in a rural area and are unable to make it to an office in person, this option may be best for you. One of their health educators can mail or deliver the test to your home and will schedule a time to talk with you via Zoom or phone to walk you through the process and go over the results. Please contact the preferred location to schedule an appointment.
Officials understand that this is a time of uncertainty for a lot of people. At Positive Link, they are committed to keeping HIV and at-risk clients linked to care and services. If you are in need of services or are not receiving the services you need, please contact them and they will help.
Visit their Facebook page to stay up to date on all of their initiatives during this trying time.
