Joan L. Blake, 85, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Westview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 1, 1934 in Bedford, Indiana, she was the daughter of Reno and Eva (Clark) Blake.
She graduated from Smithville High School.
Joan was a member of Grace Methodist Church and the White River Humane Society.
She had been a clerical worker, worked at Colonial Bakery for 21 years and had been an assistant at St. Vincent School.
Surviving are one brother, Ronnie Blake of Bedford; two sisters, Linda (Hulan) Sturgeon of Silverville and Juanita (Clifford) Morris of Bedford; and ten nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John D. Blake; and one sister, Ina Feathers.
Funeral service will be at noon on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Pastor Phil Thorne officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until noon.
