(MITCHELL) – Mitchell Police Chief Justin Shirley resigned from the Mitchell Police Department effective July 10, 2020. Shirley was appointed Mitchell Police Chief in February 2019.
Shirley cited the need for a career change as the reason for leaving the department.
“I’m not in a hurry to replace him,” said Mitchell Mayor J.D. England. “I want to be sure the person I get is the right choice for Mitchell, so I plan to take my time,” England noted.
