Voting Closes For 2020 Indiana Republican State Convention

(INDIANAPOLIS) – As of 5 p.m. ET today, voting for the Republican nominees for lieutenant governor and the attorney general is now closed as part of the 2020 Indiana Republican State Convention. 

“We’ve reached the deadline to receive convention ballots from our delegates and 98% of delegates have returned ballots,” said Kyle Hupfer, chairman of the Indiana Republican Party. “Our delegates worked with the modified process, made their voices heard and we’re grateful for their participation. Ballots will be counted tomorrow and we’ll announce our nominees for lieutenant governor and attorney general tomorrow afternoon.”

Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch

Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch is unopposed and will be officially renominated tomorrow.

Ballots will be delivered by the independent accounting firm and counted tomorrow by poll workers. Hupfer will announce the results on Friday, July 10, via a live video on the Indiana Republican Party Facebook page. This is tentatively slated for 1:30 p.m. ET, but timing could vary based on the speed of the tabulation.
