State Road 258 Opens Thursday East Of Freetown, Closes Monday For Additional Box Culvert Replacement

(JACKSON CO.) – State Road 258 is planned to re-open at Persimmon Creek, east of Freetown in Jackson County by Thursday, July 2, following a 30-day closure for a box culvert replacement project.

The road will remain open for the Fourth of July holiday weekend and is scheduled close again on Monday, July 6, for a second box culvert replacement located further east at Coon Creek.

The road will close for 30 days between Base Road and C.R. 100 E., through early August. The official detour route will remain S.R. 11 to U.S. 50 to S.R. 446 to S.R. 58. Motorists should slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
