Missing Sullivan County Teen Located

(SULLIVAN CO.) – Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department investigators located 16-year-old Anna Pinkston, of Farmersburg, and 21-year-old Collin Kelty, of Terre Haute, who was Pinkston’s boyfriend Both were found in Edgar County, Illinois.

On Friday, June 26th, at 5:00 p.m. Pinkston’s grandparents filed a missing person report.

A witness reported seeing Pinkston getting into a white SUV with Kelty.

The report was immediately entered into a statewide and nationwide computer.

Police received information that the pair left the Sullivan County/Vigo County area Friday evening, and a bulletin was transmitted to law enforcement agencies across the state.

On Saturday, June 27th, Sullivan County Sheriffs Investigators located the pair on Route 1 in northern Clark County, Illinois.

Sullivan County officials followed the white SUV northbound until units from Edgar County Sheriff’s Office could intercept the vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped just outside Paris, Illinois, and Pinkston was found unharmed.

Kelty was arrested on a charge of violation of a no-contact order.

Kelty was transported to the Edgar County Jail awaiting a review of the case by the Illinois State Attorney Office and extradition back to Sullivan County, Indiana.

Sullivan County investigators were assisted in Illinois by both the Clark and Edgar County Sheriff’s Office.
