Melissa Lynn Beavers, 51, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born August 8, 1968, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Henry Edward and Marlene Elane (Terrell) Beavers.
Melissa had been employed at Arby’s, Backyard Burgers, Mazzios, and Valeo. She was a 1987 graduate of Bedford-North Lawrence High School, and a member of the Work of God. She loved her church and enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sisters, Juanita Louise (Jeff) Combs of Bedford, Patricia Ann (Brian) Morgan of Orleans, Jessica Elane (Stephen) Jaggers of Mitchell, Anna Marie (Roger) Dotts of Mitchell; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, at Dixon Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
