Small Business Crisis Relief Grant Application Process Opens Friday

(BEDFORD) – The Lawrence County Economic Growth Council recently received $5,000 in funding from the Duke Energy Foundation as part of their $200,000 grant program to assist Indiana economic development organizations offering crisis relief to small Indiana businesses.

These funds will be distributed to Lawrence County small businesses in an effort to reduce the burden of utility costs during the pandemic. Eligible small businesses can receive up to $500 towards their next water utility bill.

To be eligible to apply, businesses must be Duke Energy customers in Lawrence County and classified as a small business.

The $5,000 in funding will be allocated evenly between the cities of Bedford and Mitchell, given a sufficient number of businesses apply and qualify to do so.

The grant application will be available beginning Friday, June 12th at Noon at www.lawrencecountygrowth.com/duke-grant.

To apply, businesses should fill out the Google Form and submit all necessary information. Grant funding will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, it is important to apply as soon as possible.
