Betty Florence Meadows, 88, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Mitchell Manor.
Born August 11, 1931, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Cecil and Elna (Herthel) Limeberry. She married Jasper Newton Meadows on October 24, 1964, and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1997.
Betty had been employed at Haverly Mortuary and Leonard’s Drive-In. She loved arranging flowers and taking pictures.
Survivors include her daughters, Judith Lynn (Gary) Klatka of Clearmont, Florida; Lisa Ann (Albert) Small of Lawrenceport; grandchildren, Jesse Klatka, Shawna Chamberlain, Shane Graves, and Tessa Bales; 2 great-grandchildren
Her father; mother and step-father, Elna and Chase Burris; husband; granddaughter, Sheena Graves; and siblings, Vivian Godfrey, Alberta Chenault, Lela Howell, Bonnie Eager, and infant twins, Norma and Norman, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Mitchell Cemetery.
