(BLOOMINGTON) – One of the best social distancing activities during the warm weather is hitting the open water.
Watercraft rentals (rowboat, kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddleboard) must be made over the phone in advance; no walk-up rentals are permitted.
Call the Griffy Lake boathouse at 812-349-3732 during regular hours of operation, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
For those of you who already own a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard, the lake is open for you to enjoy from dawn until dusk. Stop by the boathouse during open hours to buy your $8 day-use permit.
Boat motors on Griffy Lake are limited to electric trolling motors only.
