Prairie Creek Bridge Rehab Scheduled For State Road 57 In Plainville

(DAVIESS CO.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane closures on State Road 57 near Plainville for a bridge rehabilitation.

Beginning on or around Monday, May 11, contractors will close one lane of the bridge spanning Prairie Creek between County Road East 400 North and C.R. West 440 North. During the operation, crews will only be working to replace the deck of the structure, one lane at a time. The northbound lane will be closed first, followed by the southbound lanes.

During the project restrictions will be in place around the clock. One 12-foot lane will remain open at all times with traffic being controlled by temporary signal. Work is expected to be complete by the end of October depending upon weather conditions. INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
