  • J Street – from State Road 58 to 14th Street

The three bids for this project included:

  • Milestone – $367,198.09
  • Flynn & Sons – $346,765.92
  • E&B Paving – $499,818.15
4th Street is one of the streets scheduled to be paved following the stormwater project on Bedford’s northside. Paving could begin Wednesday weather permitting.

“I would like these projects to get underway quickly, as the residents on the northside have been dealing with the stormwater project for some time now,” Bedford Mayor Sam Craig stated during last Thursday’s meeting.

According to Bedford Street Commissioner David Flinn, the paving project will get underway on Wednesday, weather permitting.

“The first of the projects will probably begin in the 4th Street area first. This will probably include some road closures. This will require some milling and the whole street will be closed,” Flinn stated.

“For the paving along I Street and J Street, the project will probably require one-lane closures during the paving for these two streets,” Flinn added.

The public will be notified of any road closures or restrictions when the paving begins.
