(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was arrested after Bedford Police were called to a home after a woman reported a domestic battery incident Friday night.
Police arrested 33-year-old Adrian Waggoner, of 1709 K St., on charges of domestic battery and criminal mischief.
“The victim told officers she was walking with Waggoner when they got into an argument over money,” says Chief Terry Moore. “The victim stated that while she was talking on the phone while they were walking, Waggoner grabbed her phone and broke it. He then slapped her with an open hand on the face and shoved her to the ground causing her to scrape her hand on the pavement.”
When police arrived Waggoner was not at the scene. The woman notified them that she wanted to file charges.
Officers found Waggoner a short time later and he was arrested. He denied hurting the woman.
