(SPENCER CO.) – A two-vehicle crash on Tuesday night sent two people to area hospitals.
Indiana State troopers and Spencer County Sheriff’s Department deputies were summoned to the scene on State Road 66 North at 1250 East Evanston Road at approximately 9:52 p.m. after a report of an accident with multiple injuries.
When officers arrived they found two people injured and State Road 66 was shut down while the scene was investigated.
Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Investigators Troopers Andrew Watson and Trooper Ross Johnson were summoned to the scene to assist. It was determined that Trooper Watson would lead the crash investigation.
According to Trooper Watson, a black 2001 Ford F-150 driven by, 43-year-old Edgar Maurico Ortega, of Dale, pulled into the pathway of a 2003 Ford F-250 traveling on State Road 66 and driven by 62-year-old Leslie David Rudisill, of Evansville.
Both drivers were taken to area hospitals where they were treated for their injuries.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
