(COLUMBUS) – A Chicago man was arrested Monday afternoon after a report of him holding children at gunpoint which started a standoff with Columbus police.
The incident began around 5 p.m. in the 1300 block of Central Avenue.
Officers tried to talk to 25-year-old Daquan Barfield, but he refused to communicate with officers. The SWAT team was called.
Barfield surrendered and was arrested on charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, pointing a firearm, strangulation and domestic battery.
Four young children were found in the home.
