  • 7:33 p.m. Paige Penrose, 27, 1721 J St., possession of meth, possession of marijuana

Incidents – April 5

  • 7 a.m. 911 call hang up in the 890 block of Grandma Brown Road. 
  • 7:25 a.m. A body of a 59-year-old female was found on the floor of a home in the 500 block of Avoca Eureka Road. The body was found by her boyfriend. The woman was cold and not breathing. She has a history of heart problems and COPD. The coroner was alerted and Day & Carter Mortuary responded
  • 7:52 a.m. Medical emergency in the 8240 block of State Road 54 West. A 71-year-old female fell and believes she has broken her left hand
  • 9:26 a.m. Medical emergency in the 4210 block of Old State Road 37. A male had fallen and can’t put weight on his leg. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 9:29 a.m. Officers were out with a person at Mitchell Police Department
  • 10 a.m. Citizen assist in the 7800 block of State Road 158 at New Union Church. A woman reported a male has threatened to harm her and she is afraid to go home. The male and female walked home. IU Health Hospital ambulance responded and transported one person to the hospital
  • 10:22 a.m. Controlled fire in the 260 block of Fayetteville Owen Road
  • 10:23 a.m. 911 call hang up on the 430 block of Woody Farm Road. It was an accidental call
  • 11:27 a.m. Controlled fire in the 4870 block of State Road 50 East
  • 11:34 a.m. 911 call at Graceful Gospel Church on 39th Street. Two males are being aggressive towards each other
  • 11:49 a.m. Theft of a vehicle from Sinclair gas station
  • 11:58 a.m. Controlled fire in the 2100 block of Reuter Lane
  • 1:07 p.m. Citizen assist in the 1470 block of Harrodsburg Road. A caller is wanting to speak to an officer about a child custody issue, and an eviction issue. The male is sick and in quarantine
  • 1:39 p..m. Large brush fire reported in the 6320 block of State Road 58 East. The fire has spread into trees. Pleasant Run VFD responded. It was a controlled fire 
  • 1:45 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a gray Mustang southbound at State Road 37 at the river bridge
  • 1:54 p.m. Disabled vehicle in the 410 block of 12th Street
  • 2:01 p.m. Citizen assist at Revere’s Food & Fuel. A woman want’s her mother’s death investigated. An officer responded and took a report. The woman was also given information for the coroner’s office
  • 2:04 p.m. Controlled fire in the 6480 block of State Road 58
  • 2:31 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1770 block of Saddler Drive. A 6-year-old female was choking on a sucker. The child was able to cough the sucker up and is now breathing
  • 2:34 p.m. Report of an abandoned vehicle at Springville Store. The vehicle was gone when police arrived
  • 2:39 p.m. A person was transported on an involuntary commitment  from IU Health Bedford Hospital to IU Bloomington Hospital
  • 2:52 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle in the 130 block of Rockwood Drive
  • 2:56 p.m. 911 call hang upon Vincennes Street in Orleans It was an accidental call
  • 3:31 p.m. Report of a suspicious person at Lehigh Cement near the shipping area. Police were unable to find anyone
  • 3:47 p.m. Traffic stop at Rockford Drive after a report of a suspicious vehicle and two males trespassing
  • 4:16 p.m. Controlled fire in the 170 block of Erie Church Road
  • 5 p.m. Weekly County-wide Volunteer Fire Department radio test
  • 5:18 p.m. Medical emergency in the 7800 block of State Road 158. A 74-year-old male was dizzy and not feeling well. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 5:25 p.m. Disabled vehicle at State Road 54 at the feeder auction
  • 5:40 p.m. Report of a shed and some trees on fire in the 180 block of North Helton Road. Marshall VFD responded
  • 5:45 p.m. Controlled fire in the 260 block of Cobb Lane
  • 6:10 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Teke Burton Drive
  • 6:16 p.m. 911 call in the 6070 block of Leesville Road. It was an accidental call
  • 6:18 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Teke Burton Drive
  • 6:37 p.m. Controlled fire in the 8220 block fo US 50 West.
  • 6:55 p.m. Controlled fire in the 3100 block of Rager Road
  • 7:09 p.m. Report of a theft at Mitchell Dollar Store. A female was arrested
  • 7:19 p.m. Request for a welfare check at Meridian Road and Grissom Avenue on small children playing in the roadway
  • 7:35 p.m. 911 call in the 1780 block of Spencer Pike Road. Indiana State Police responded
  • 7:48 p.m. Report that a male walking was bitten by a pit bull in the 50 block of Rainmaker Street. At 8:04 p.m. a female caller reported a male came to her home and threatened her with a knife. The woman caller says the male was walking with his dog by her home with his dog off the leash and her dog got upset and broke her chain and ran into the street. She says her dog did not bite the man and she witnessed the event. Police talked to the male who was highly intoxicated
  • 7:51 p.m. 911 call in the 30 block of Kings Ridge Road. It was an accidental call
  • 7:55 p.m. Report of a suicidal female in the 530 block of Trinton Circle. The woman was fine and is not going to harm herself
  • 8:01 p.m. 911 call in the 530 block of Louie Smith Road. It was an accidental call
  • 8:09 p.m. Controlled fire in the 1320 block of Old State Road 60 West
  • 8:15 p.m. Request for a welfare check at State Road 37 and Doc Hamilton Boulevard. The caller saw a male strike a young child multiple times in the drive-through of Captain D’s and followed the vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle and the child was okay
  • 8:22 p.m. Controlled fire in the 40 block of Russell Drive
  • 8:32 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at the Sinclair station
  • 8:42 p.m. Report of illegal burning in the 130 block of Maple Leaf Road. Shawswick VFD responded and the resident put out the fire
  • 9:04 p.m. Medical emergency on State Road 37, north of the Paoli square. Orange County Sheriff’s Department was alerted
  • 9:28 p.m. EMS was placed on standby for Orange County
  • 10:12 p.m. Traffic stop at Tunnelton and South Leatherwood roads
  • 10:27 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1230 block of Elm Park Drive. A 73-year-old is not breathing. The male has a history of strokes
  • 10:48 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 20 block of N Street
  • 11:01 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 820 block of Smith Avenue
  • 11:08 p.m Disabled vehicle at State Road 37 and John Williams Boulevard
  • 11:26 p.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at Hopkins Cemetery
  • 11:39 p.m. Alarm sounding in the 160 block of Teddy Bird Lane
