Incidents – March 31

  • 7:36 p.m. Theft of a vehicle in the 1700 block of 15th Street
  • 7:32 p.m. Fire alarm sounding in the 3120 block of 16th Street. It was a false alarm
  • 7:09 p.m. 911 call in the 9410 block of State Road 158. The Sheriff’s Department was alerted
  • 6:58 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1220 block of 25th Street. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 5:34 p..m. Threats reported at the Men’s Warming Center on K Street
  • 4:05 p.m. Report of trespassing at Walmart. Cathy Jo Woods, 28, of Bedford, was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of criminal trespass
  • 4 p.m. An alarm was sounding at Lowes
  • 3:59 pm. Officers were out with a vehicle at Washington Avenue and 22nd Street
  • 3:35 p.m. Traffic stop in the 1210 block of 16th Street. A male driver was cited for driving while driver’s license suspended with a prior conviction
  • 2:06 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2620 block of Sanders Lane
  • 1:50 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 1100 block of 17th Street
  • 11:45 a.m. 911 investigation at Lows
  • 10:21 a.m. Abandoned vehicle in the 1220 block of I Street
  • 10:13 a.m. Theft in the 700 block of T Street
  • 9:02 a.m. 911 investigation in the 2020 block of 28th Street
  • 8:57 a.m. Medical emergency in the 2020 block of Plaza Drive. An AMR ambulance responded

  • 8:31 a.m. 911 call hang up at IU Health Hospital
  • 8:26 a.m. Traffic stop at O and 15th streets. A male was cited for driving while his driver’s license was suspended
  • 1:50 a.m. Traffic stop at Q and 16th streets. A citation was issued for disregarding a traffic control device
  • 1:08 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Main Street in Oolitic
  • 12:21 a.m. Officers were out with a person at Mitchell Road and 25th Street

  • 11:18 p.m. Traffic stop at 16th Street and Hillcrest Road
  • 11:12 p.m. 911 call in the 2000 block of H Street
  • 10:23 p.m. Traffic stop at I and 17th streets. A male driver was issued a citation for driving while his driver’s license was suspended

  • 11:53 a.m. Property damage accident with a vehicle leaving the scene in the 1400 block of 20th Street

  • 5:22 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a maroon Dodge Stratus eastbound on State Road 58 East at Stars Boulevard
  • 6:10 a.m. Medical emergency in the 12560 block of Tunnelton Road. An 83-year-old female was complaining of severe back pain
  • 6:25 a.m. Theft of a  2012 White Ford Mustang in the 510 block of  West Frank Street. The vehicle was repossessed
  • 6:44 a.m. 911 call hang up in the 7200 block of Mitchell Road. It was an accidental call
  • 7:26 a.m. Medical emergency in the 120 block of The Woods. A 72-year-old female fell and has lost feeling in her legs
  • 8:57 a.m. Request for animal control to the 1980 block of Dixie Highway for dogs running loose
  • 9:01 a.m. 911 call at Johnny’s Sign. Bedford Police alerted
  • 9:04 a.m. Controlled fire in the 3390 block of Peerless Road
  • 9:32 a.m. A person was bitten by a cat on the hand in the 820 block of Spy Glass Drive
  • 10 a.m. Disabled vehicle at State Road 37 at Speedway
  • 10:31 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1300 block of Springville Judah Road. A person was ill10:41 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1580 block of South Meridian Road. A 73-year-old male was having trouble breathing
  • 11:04 a.m. Follow up investigation at US 50 East
  • 11:19 a.m. Controlled fire in the 2050 block of Avoca Eureka Road
  • 11:19 a.m. 911 call at an unknown location. It was an accidental call
  • 12:27 p.m. Controlled fire in the 2290 block of Avoca Eureka Road
  • 12:38 p.m. Wildland fire in the 520 block of Sipes Branch Road. It was a controlled fire
  •  1:42 p.m. Controlled fire in the 2870 block of Maul Ridge Road 
  • 2:03 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2620 block of Sanders Lane. A person fell and hurt their ankle
  • 2:57 p.m. Controlled fire in the 250 block of Art Gallery Road
  • 3:17 p.m. 911 call in the 1100 block of 17th Street reporting a verbal altercation
  • 3:24 p.m. Warrant service in the 450 block of Dale Street
  • 3:28 p.m. Medical emergency at Mitchell Manor. A female fell and suffered a possible broken pelvic
  • 4:25 p.m. Fraud reported on home improvement scam in the 3990 block of Dixie Highway. A male was paid to do work and didn’t do it
  • 5:10 p.m. A person called to report a possible confrontation in the 240 block of Leesville Road. The caller says her brother and his neighbor confronted a male who was shooting a firearm near livestock and during the incident a male punched the neighbor in the face. The male did not want to file charges
  • 5:13 p.m. Report of an erratic driver southbound on State Road 37 at Roots RV in a teal Ford car
  • 5:19 p.m. Unwanted person in the 1200 block of Elm Park 1
  • 5:32 p.m. A resident in the 390 block of Carver Lane reported their 14-year-old daughter ran away. The female was found and returned to her parents
  • 6:04 p.m. Citizen assist at State Road 37 and State Road 54 to pick up a dead deer
  • 6:15 p.m. Citizen assist in the 500 block of West Warren Street at the laundromat. The caller has a video of a man and woman having sex in the laundromat. The two were gone when police arrived
  • 6:15 p.m. Request for animal control to the 330 block of Smith Road for a large dog running loose
  • 7:16 p.m. 911 call hangup in the 110 block of State Road 60 East. IT was an accidental call
  • 7:57 p.m. Report of unsafe shooting in the 210 block of Brook Street. Police could not find a problem
  • 8:28 p.m. Domestic fight at Hillcrest Way at Johnny Junction. There was a fight between two customers
  • 11:12 p.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at State Road 446 and US 60

Incidents – April 1

  • 12:25 a.m. Request for an officer to check on the church in the 20 block of Center Street. Lights are on in the basement of the church. The building was secure
  • 1:22 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle in the 130 block of North 8th Street
  • 2:23 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle at Thompson Lane and Spice Valley Road
  • 3:06 a.m. Report of vandalism in the 410 block of North 8th Street. Kids are throwing rocks at a house
  • 4:06 a.m. Medical emergency in the 70 block of Clark Smith Road. A 60-year-old male was having a seizure
  • 4:21 a.m. Battery reported in the 11880 block of US 50 West at Speedway. A male hit her in the head and pulled her hair and took the caller’s car. The car was pulled over at State Road 37 and Doc Hamilton Boulevard and was detained
  • 4:26 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Doc Hamilton Boulevard

  • 10:43 a.m. Property damage accident at State Road 450 and Ridge Road
  • 5:59 p.m. 911 call at Arby’s reporting an accident in the drive-through
