(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was injured Saturday night after he crashed his car on Rabbitsville Road.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, officers were alerted to the crash at 9:56 p.m. on Rabbitsville Road near Woodville Road
Deputies say 41-year-old Troy Sanders was traveling south on Rabbitsville Road in his 2001 Chevrolet Malibu when he crossed over to the left side of the road and collided with a fence.
The accident caused damage to the fence and multiple fence posts owned by Carol Hughes at 1273 Rabbitsville Road.
Sanders fled the scene and took off on foot.
Mikels Towing was called to the scene and removed the vehicle.
Sanders was found later and transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment of minor injures.
