Linton Police Department Conducting Suspected Murder Investigation

(LINTON) – Linton Police Detectives are investigating a suspected murder.

On Wednesday, the Linton Police Department received a report of a male found in an abandoned house in southeast Linton.

“Linton police officers responded and found the male deceased, surrounded by suspicious circumstances. The investigation is ongoing and further details are being withheld for investigative purposes,” said the press release from Linton Police Chief Paul Clark.

The identity of the man is not being released until the next-of-kin is notified.

“Please respect the fact that the decedent’s family may not yet be aware of this tragic news when posting to social media,” Clark stated.
