(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at Fifth and J streets Wednesday morning.
According to a Bedford Police report, 50-year-old Richard Troyer, of Bedford, and 16-year-old Anna Butler, of Springville, were both traveling east on Fifth Street and had just passed J Street approaching the stop sign at I Street.
Both drivers told police traffic was backed up and was stop and go.
Troyer told police that traffic started to proceed forward when the driver of the vehicle in front of him slammed on their brakes causing him to do the same. Butler, who was behind Troyer, was unable to react in time and struck the rear of Troyer’s 1999 Chevrolet pickup with her 2013 Ford Escape.
Butler was not injured during the incident. Troyer complained of neck pain
