(BLOOMFIELD) – A 36-year-old Bloomfield woman died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning on Furnace Road, east of Bloomfield.
The accident was reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department around 8:20 a.m.
According to police, Kristen Laue was traveling east on Furnace Road when the 2007 Hyundai SUV she was driving went off the south side of the road and struck a utility pole. The SUV overturned and came to a stop on its roof.
Laue died at the scene.
Assisting at the scene was the Greene County Ambulance Service, Indiana State Police, Richland Township Fire Department, and the Bloomfield Fire Department.
