Harrodsburg Man Arrested on Drug Charges

(BEDFORD) – A Harrodsburg man was arrested early Monday morning after Bedford Police officers were called to the 2300 block of 30th Street after a report of an argument in a front yard.

When officers arrived they found 30-year-old Jeffrey Owens standing beside a vehicle with the door open.

“While speaking with Owens he told officers he was looking for his girlfriend but wasn’t sure where she was at,” said Chief Moore. “During the conversation the officer noticed that Owens could not stand still and had pen point pupils which would indicate drug activity.  An additional officer arrived and while walking around the vehicle a syringe was visible in the center console.”

During the search of the vehicle, officers found heroin, meth, drug paraphernalia, and two different types of a controlled medication not prescribed to Owens.

Owen was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia
