Application Deadline Thursday for Indiana Broadcasters Foundation Scholarships for College Broadcasting Students

(CARMEL) – Applications are due tomorrow (Friday, February 7, 2020) for the Indiana Broadcasters Foundation college scholarship program.  The Foundation is preparing to award $50,000 in scholarships to students who attend an Indiana college or university who are pursuing degrees in broadcasting — including on-air, sales, production, engineering, and management fields.

Since 2011, the Indiana Broadcasters Foundation has awarded more than $270,000 to Indiana colleges and universities with broadcasting programs, including $50,000 awarded to ten students last year.

“Our Foundation’s broadcasting scholarship program makes a real difference for students who are committed to the field of broadcasting,” said Dave Arland, Executive Director of the Indiana Broadcasters Association.  “These scholarships provide financial relief for students, allowing them to pursue internships and other opportunities that move their career forward while still funding their education.  Ultimately, we want these students to graduate and join the ranks of those who have chosen radio and TV broadcasting careers.”

Students can apply for the Indiana Broadcasters Foundation scholarship online at IndianaBroadcasters.org.  The deadline to apply is tomorrow (Friday, February 7th) .   Applicants must be a current, full-time college student with plans to continue as a full-time college student in the 2020 fall semester.

Applicants must have an overall 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), and must provide an official transcript from the college or university who is also a member of the Indiana Broadcasters Association.
