Shirley Yost, 69, of Bedford, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born October 5, 1950, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Gerald and Trellah (Brown) Yost. She was a retired counter worker at Long John Silvers and a member of the Pinhook Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sisters, Sandy Brown, and husband, Steve, Linda Egan, all of Bedford; a brother, Johnnie Yost, of Bedford; a sister-in-law, Barbara Yost, of Bedford; nieces and nephews, Angela Strunk and husband, Matt, Kelly Chaney and husband, Eric, Cory Brown and wife, Joni, Susan Kinser and husband, Mike, Andy Yost and wife, Alecia, and Tracey Yost; several great-nieces and nephews; four great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jimmy and Marvin Yost; a brother-in-law, James Egan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 1 st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Taylor Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinhook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, February 1st at the
Day & Carter Mortuary.
Pallbearers are Andy Yost, Cory Brown, Danny Brown, Stacey Brown, Jordan Strunk, Matt Strunk, and Jarrod Deckard.
