Owensburg Woman Arrested For Dealing Methamphetamine

(GREENE COUNTY) – On January 23rd, just after 3:00 pm, Indiana State Police Bloomington A.C.E.S. Troopers were conducting a patrol in southeast Greene County. Trooper Caleb Garvin conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck, along SR 45 near SR 445, for a traffic violation. While speaking with the occupants, Trp. Garvin detected indicators of criminal activity and requested assistance with the stop. 

Trp. Matt Hatchett arrived at the scene and deployed his canine, “Axe”, who gave a positive alert on the truck.

The ensuing investigation revealed the female passenger, identified as Sharon Hutchinson, 53, of Owensburg, was in possession of over 3 grams of methamphetamine, multiple syringes, several empty baggies, digital scales, and almost $1000 cash.

Trp. Garvin arrested Hutchinson for Dealing Methamphetamine (Level 4 Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony) and Possession of Hypodermic Syringes (Level 6 Felony). 

Hutchinson was incarcerated in the Greene County Jail.
