(HELTONVILLE) – A 16-year-old male was arrested after Lawrence County Police officers were called to the 100 block of Jefferson Street in Heltonville after a report of a fight.
When officers arrived they learned an adult male and the juvenile had gotten into a verbal fight over the selling of a car.
“That argument escalated into a physical confrontation in which the suspect shoved the victim to the ground after slapping him on the face,” says Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults. “The victim reported pain to his right leg as a result of being shoved.”
The juvenile was arrested on a charge of domestic battery. The teen was transported to Sheriff’s Department and where juvenile authorities ordered he be transported to a Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center.
