Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County Donates Stuffed Animals to Bedford Police Department

(BEDFORD) – The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County donated 100 stuffed animals to the Bedford Police Department.

The department thanks them for their generous donations.

Bedford Police officer Faheem Bade picks up the stuffed animals from Boys and Girls Club Director Frank Decker and volunteer Maleah Chaney.

“I believe that a stuffed animal gives children peace and comfort in sometimes scary situations,” says Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore. “When we hand a child a stuffed animal often they respond with a smile and their demeanor changes. We want children to feel safe when they have interactions with the police and this donation from the Lawrence County Boys & Girls Club will help promote that opportunity.”
