One Person Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on State Road 37

(BEDFORD) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon at State Road 37 and Patrick Robbins Way.

According to a Bedford Police Department report, 53-year-old James Ricketts, of Bedford, complained of neck pain.

Police say 39-year-old Jimmy Underhill, of French Lick, was traveling north on State Road 37 and was approaching the intersection of Patrick Robbins Way. Underhill told police that the stoplight had turned yellow and he sped up to try and make it through the light before it turned red.

As Underhill entered the intersection Rickett pulled his 2012 Dodge Ram pickup into the intersection attempting to make a left turn onto southbound State Road 37.

Rickett’s pickup collided with Underhill’s 2015 GM Terrain.

Rickett told police he had a green turn arrow when he entered the intersection and collided with the SUV.
