Indiana Under Winter Weather Advisory

(BEDFORD) – The Winter Weather Advisory in effect for Indiana has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning that goes into effect at 2 p.m. today and ends at 7 a.m. Tuesday for parts of the state.

Round 2 will bring freezing rain and an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow to the area with perhaps some spots seeing up to 5 inches.

This system will be slightly different, as the snow will be wet and a rain/snow mix will be expected for southern counties.

Plan on slippery and snow-covered road conditions during the evening commute.

Temperatures will get colder overnight, while the wind begins to increase. This will create some drifting and reduce visibility.

Drier but colder air will arrive by Tuesday afternoon and for the rest of the week, there will be a slow warming trend.
