  • 7:21 a.m. Controlled fire in the 1740 block of Port Williams Road
  • 8:10 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1200 block of West Brook Street in Mitchell. A 30-year-old woman was in childbirth
  • 8:16 a.m. Request for animal control to the 2290 block of Avoca Eureka Road for stay dogs
  • 8:41 a.m. Medical emergency in the 40 block of Persimmon Park Apartments. A 39-year-old was suffering chest pains
  • 9:28 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the 300 block of Hayes Road
  • 9:45 a.m. Medical emergency in the 72340 block of 39th Street. A 77-year-old was breathing
  • 10:09 a.m. Report of three juvenile boys shooting rifles towards her and her livestock in the 4040 block of Leatherwood Road
  • 10:34 a.m. Traffic stop at 16th Street and Hawthorne Drive
  • 10:39 a.m. Follow up investigation in the 510 block of H Street
  • 10:42 a.m. Request for animal control in the 160 block of Rockwood Drive because the neighbor’s dogs are in her yard again. Police say the neighbor was not home and could not locate any dogs
  • 10:43 a.m. Unwanted female trying to get into a resident in the 1230 block of Elm Park Drive. The female was gone when police arrived
  • 11:40 a.m. Request for animal control to Sand Pit Road for a cow in the roadway at the railroad tracks. The calf was put back in the pasture
  • 11:50 a.m. 911 call in the 150 block of Popcorn Road. It was an accidental call
  • 12:16 p.m. Medical emergency in the 400 blcok of Wade Street
  • 12:29 p.m. Traffic stop in the 2500 block of State Road 446
  • 12:41 p.m. Overdose in the 500 block of North Seventh Street. A 23-year-old took multiple drugs and was transported by ambulance to a Bedford Hospital
  • 12:50 p.m. Theft of a vehicle in the 5120 block of State Road 158. The caller gave his daughter permission to use the vehicle and she was to bring it back and has not and has had the vehicle for three days. The caller sounded intoxicated. Police spoke to the daughter and she said the caller is letting her use the truck because hers broke down but she will return the truck this afternoon
  • 12:55 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 700 block of Glendale Way. A fifth-grader has sent several suicidal messages to his friends. Police were unable to make contact with the child or his mother because it was not a current address. The teacher made contact with the child’s mother and the issue will be addressed with the school counselor on Monday. While at the home on Glendale Way officers arrested two people on marijuana charges. A female and male were issued summons to appear in court and the Department of Child Services was alerted
  • 1:44 p.m. Disabled vehicle at Mitchell Road at M&E Honda
  • 1:48: p.m. A male reported his ex-girlfriend was in church with his 18-month-old son and appeared to be on some type of drug. Child Services was alerted
  • 1:50 p.m. Fire in the 70 block of Walnut Heights Road. Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department responded. It was a pile of leaves on fire
  • 2:06 p.m. Agency assist with Department of Child Services in the 600 block of 9th Street in Oolitic
  • 2:21 p.m. Trespassing in the 640 block of Randy Smith Drive. The caller says two males are walking on his property with shotguns and the caller told the males to leave and the males made rude comments. The males were gone when police arrived
  • 3:04 p.m. Domestic fight in the 470 block of Broomsage Road. A male left the home
  • 2:35 p.m. Fire in the 630 block of Meridian Road. Mitchell VFD responded. Smoke was showing when firefighters arrived. Duke Energy responded. Police assisted with traffic control and an AMR ambulance responded. The fire was under control at 3:09 p.m. and firefighters did salvage and overhaul of the property
  • 2:58 p.m. Agency assist in the 280 block of Patton View
  • 3:49 p.m. Report of an erratic driver on a Suzuki motorcycle westbound at US 50 West and Kings Ridge Road
  • 3:52 p.m. Traffic stop at Hoosier Avenue and Third Street in Oolitic
  • 4:49 p.m. Threats in the 530 block of East Oolitic Road. The caller says her 19-year-old cousin is telling her to slit her throat. Police spoke to all parties involved
  • 4:55 p.m. Traffic stop in the 5280 block of State Road 54 West in Springville
  • 5 p.m.County-wide volunteer fire department radio test
  • 5:17 p.m. 911 call requesting a welfare check on her daughter at a home on E Street. Bedford Police were alerted
  • 5:19 p.m. 911 call in the parking lot of Walmart. Bedford Police were alerted. A male was stranded and needing a ride to Seymour
  • 5:23 p.m. Domestic fight in the 60 block of Farmers Street. A woman is screaming and throwing items at his son
  • 5:51 p.m. 911 call hangup on US 50 East and Shawswick School Road. It was an accidental call
  • 6:04 p.m. 911 call in the 1910 block of Dixie Highway. It was an accidental call
  • 6:06 p.m. Medical emergency in the 200 block of East Frank Street. A 63-year-old male was ill
  • 6:12 p.m. Traffic stop at Dixie Highway and Rariden Hill
  • 6:49 p.m. Lost person in the 1390 block of Buddha Road. A three-year-old boy got out of the person’s car and is now missing and has been for about 15 minutes. Police responded with a K-9. At 7:04 p.m. the child showed up in the back yard of a home in the 120 block of Old Buddha Road
  • 7:35 p.m. Domestic fight in the 500 block of Plum Street. The male left the home. The victim refused to speak to police
  • 8:33 p.m. Traffic stop in the 2600 block of 16th Street
  • 8:58 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37, south of Oolitic
  • 9:13 p.m. Traffic stop at Doc Hamilton Boulevard and Rabbitsville Road
  • 9:29 p.m. Traffic stop at South 11th Street and Orchard Street
  • 9:45 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 60 East
  • 9:53 p.m. Medical emergency in the 910 block of Lawrence Street. A 15-year-old female had overdosed. The female was okay and there was no issue
  • 10:14 p.m. Medical emergency in the 330 block of North 9th Street. A 49-year-old male was having chest pains
  • 10:46 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2880 block of Coveyville Road. A 4-year-old was having trouble breathing
  • 10:54 p.m. A 32-year-old woman reported she was bitten by a snake in the 460 block of Sportsman Club Road. The woman has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has not taken her medication in several days

Incidents – Nov. 18

  • 12:16 a.m. Report someone walked into the caller’s home in the 1200 block of West Brook Street and said hello and then left. The caller does not know the person. Police will make extra patrols
  • 12:49 a.m. Agency assist with Bedford Police at State Road 37 and Pumphouse Road
  • 1:19 a.m. Burglary in the 1200 block of Spice Valley Road. A woman says someone was breaking into her house. She has a young child. The woman and child are in a bedroom and has a gun. The female says someone broke a window on the right side of the home. The home was secure and police will make extra patrols
  • 2:08 a.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 10050 block of State Road 37 at the dealerships
  • 2:50 a.m. 911 call in the 1550 block of Payton Road. It was an accidental call
  • 3:39 a.m. Medical emergency in the 100 block of Old Farm Road. A 71-year-old female was ill
  • 3:54 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1800 block of 30th Street. An 81-year-old is having trouble breathing
