Public Information Meeting Thursday for US 50 Pavement Reconstruction and Intersection Improvement Project in Seymour

(SEYMOUR) – The Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting for the US 50 pavement reconstruction and intersection improvement project in Seymour on Thursday, November 7, at Seymour City Hall in the City Council Chambers, at 301 North Chestnut St. in Seymour. Those attending are asked to use the 3rd Street entrance.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to interact with the project team and view related materials. The project includes reconstruction of pavement on US 50 from just east of Agrico Lane to US 31, intersection improvement at US 31, bridge widening over Sandy Branch and the addition of a multi-use pedestrian path, sponsored by the City of Seymour. Currently, the project is scheduled to let to contractors for bidding in early 2020, with construction tentatively set to start in the spring.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. to allow the public to view displays and talk with project personnel prior to a presentation that will begin at 6 p.m.

The environmental document and preliminary designs are available to view prior to the public meeting at the INDOT Seymour District Office, located at 185 Agrico Lane, Seymour, IN 47274, as well as on the Seymour District page on the INDOT website.
