(WORTHINGTON) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a railroad crossing repair in Worthington for State Road 157.
Beginning on or around Monday, Nov. 4, contractors for the railroad company will close the railroad crossing between Williams Street and US 231/State Road 67. The operation will completely replace the crossing. INDOT crews will provide traffic control and the work will be done under complete closure.
Work is expected to last for about three days depending upon weather conditions. While the closure is in place, the official detour will use US 231/State Road 67, State Road 57, State Road 14 and State Road 157. Local residents will have access up to the point of closure. All other traffic should use the official detour.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
