Hunter Thompson Roberts-Sims, 24, of Owensburg passed away October 18, 2019, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Shane and Leigh (Thompson) Roberts on September 21, 1995.
She was a graduate of Eastern Greene High School. She was a senior at Indiana University majoring in Community Health with a minor in Youth Development. She worked many jobs through the years but the one she loved the most was at Wonderlab Museum in Bloomington. She was a lover of the outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time on the water. She loved to sing, dance and bake. More than anything, Hunter made sure her family and friends always knew how much she loved them. She was adored by all who knew her.
Hunter is survived by her parents, Shane and Leigh Roberts and her brother Colden Roberts all of Owensburg. Her maternal grandparents, Paul Wayne and Ginny Thompson of Owensburg; her paternal grandmother, Liz Roberts of Bedford; and great-grandparents, Bill and Kathleen Combs of Owensburg. She is also survived by her new husband, Dakota Sims of Owensburg and their perfect dog, Harley; aunt Cari Helms and uncle Josh Helms of Owensburg; uncle Greg Anderson, uncle Chad Roberts and aunt Sarah Roberts, all of Bedford. She is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whose lives are better for having had her in them.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Homer Don Roberts; uncle, Paul Michael Marks; and aunt, Shawnee Marks Simmons.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Emily Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Owensburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 3 – 8 P.M. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes.
