(INDIANAPOLIS) — Indiana Treasurer of State Kelly Mitchell, along with the Indiana Education Savings Authority, is pleased to announce that Marissa Rowe will serve as Executive Director starting immediately. She was previously named Interim Director after her predecessor, Troy Montigney, left in August.
“I am excited to continue working with Marissa in her new role,” said Treasurer Mitchell. “Marissa will further cultivate the amazing growth we have seen in the CollegeChoice 529 plans.”
Marissa Rowe joined the Indiana Education Savings Authority as Outreach Coordinator in 2017 following a nonprofit career working with faith and fraternal communities in Indianapolis. As the face of CollegeChoice 529, Marissa engages with employers and families to promote saving for higher education as one pathway to a future with less student loan debt.
A proud first-generation college student, Marissa received her B.A. in Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and her M.A. in Philanthropic Studies from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. She currently serves as the National Extension Director for Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity, as well as a committee member for the College Savings Plans Network, Indianapolis Money Smart Week, and Indianapolis Autism Speaks Walk.
