State Road 157 Will Close October 21 In Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a small structure replacement project will close State Road 157 on or after Monday, October 21 just north of State Road 48.  The roadway is scheduled to reopen on Monday, November 11.

The detour follows State Road 59 to S.R. 48 and back to S.R. 157. 

This project was awarded to CLR for $1.7 million.  This project also includes a small structure replacement with a bridge on S.R. 159, just over one mile south of S.R. 246, and a small structure replacement on S.R. 159 over an unnamed tributary to the Eel River located over two miles north of S.R. 48 both in Clay County.  In Vigo County two small structure replacements on S.R. 159, one located over an unnamed tributary to Splunge Creek, located nearly six miles north of S.R.246 and the other project is located nearly four miles north of S.R. 246. The entire project is scheduled for completion in May of 2022.
