(BEDFORD) – A Bedford woman was arrested after she was caught shoplifting at WalMart Monday.
Bedford Police issued 66-year-old Phyllis Grissom, of Mitchell, a summons to appear in court on a charge of theft.
According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, at 4:03 p.m. a Walmart Loss Prevention employee requested an officer after detaining Grissom.
The loss prevention employee witnessed Grissom pay for one shopping cart full of groceries, but then she retrieved a second cart full of items but didn’t pay for those items and left the store.
The loss prevention employee detained Grissom until police arrived.
Grissom was also served a no-trespass order preventing her from returning to the store.
