Louisville Man Arrested After Deputies Find Meth

(BEDFORD) – A Louisville man was arrested early this morning after Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies located meth in his vehicle.

Deputy Harrison Fleetwood stopped a vehicle at State Road 37 at Salt Creek bridge after the driver was speeding.

According to Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults, a Sheriff’s Department K-9 alerted deputies that there were possible drugs in the vehicle.

“A search of the vehicle revealed a crystal-substance on the floorboard which field-tested positive for meth,” says Chief Deputy Shoults. “Also found inside the vehicle were three syringes containing a liquid that tested positive for meth. Other drug paraphernalia associated with drug use were also found in the vehicle.”

Officers arrested 30-year-old Bennet Ramer on charges of possession of meth, and unlawful possession of a syringe.
