  • 6:25 p.m. Michael Merida, 25, Bloomington, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia
  • 9:25 p.m. Aaron Tatum Jr., Wasilla, AK., wanted on two warrants for failure to appear

  • 5:50 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a maroon Ford Explorer southbound at State Road 37 at The Woods. Police were unable to find the vehicle
  • 6 a.m. Warrant service at Steel Tech. A person was arrested on a warrant and found in possession of a Schedule III controlled substance
  • 7:14 a.m. Deputies made extra patrols at Needmore Elementary
  • 7:46 a.m. Alarm sounding in the 210 block of Main Street in Oolitic. It was a false alarm
  • 7:57 a.m. Request for a welfare check on a teenager walking at State Road 37 at the Oolitic light. The juvenile was taken to the station and released to his parents
  • 8:06 a.m Request for animal control to the 3070 block of Coveyville Road for a stray cat
  • 8:09 a.m. Medical emergency in the 4590 block of Old State Road 37. A 75-year-old male was ill
  • 8:38 a.m. Found property in the 990 block of State Road 60 East. A bicycle was found leaning against a fence

  • 9:50 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a red Chevrolet car northbound on State Road 37 from State Road 60 West
  • 10:03 a.m. Follow up investigation in the 520 block of H Street
  • 10:15 a.m. A person in the 140 block of Maple Leaf Road reported identity theft. Someone stole the caller’s social security number
  • 11:44 a.m. A semi with trailer is blocking the roadway in the 7100 block of State Road 158. The semi was moved 
  • 11:58 a.m. Trespassing in the 3750 block of Old State Road 37 North. A male is staying in the woods and the caller would like to speak to an officer
  • 12:25 p.m. Medical emergency in the 30 block fo Pioneer Trails Drive. A 78-year-old was having heart issues
  • 12:50 p.m. Domestic fight in the 1260 block of Burton Cemetery Road. A male was throwing things at his daughter
  • 1:49 p.m. Utility problem at Leatherwood and Woody Farm roads. Powerlines were down across the road
  • 2:03 p.m. 911 call reporting a stalled vehicle at Harrodsburg exit, north of the dam
  • 2:03 p.m. A female inmate request an officer to file a battery charge
  • 2:15 p.m. Animal control to the 210 block of Bartlett Drive to set a trap for a skunk
  • 2:41 p.m. Medical emergency in the 10 block of Maple Ridge Road. A 32-year-old female was suffering stomach pain
  • 2:53 p.m. Fire alarm sounding in the 590 block of Hayes Road
  • 3:20 p.m. Request for animal control to the 2070 block of Hickory Grove Road. The neighbor’s dogs are always loose and bark at the caller’s son and chasing cars. Police spoke to the dog owner
  • 3:32 p.m. Request for animal control to the 30 block of Maddox Lane. To check on a dog chained up to a tree in the backyard that is tangled up with no food or water. Police say the dog did not appear to be starving and had water
  • 3:41 p.m. Report a woman dropped off her nephew at a home and noticed he had two ziplock baggies filled with a white rocky substance
  • 4:03 p.m. Report of an erratic driver southbound on State Road 37 at the Judah exit in a blue sports car. Police were unable to locate the vehicle
  • 4:29 p.m. Warrant service in the first block of Walnut Heights Road. A female was arrested
  • 4:37 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at Doc Hamilton Boulevard
  • 5:13 p.m. Parking problem in the 1100 block of Sheridan Drive The neighbors are parking in the roadway and blocking traffic
  • 5:29 p.m. Medical emergency in the 420 block of North 8th Street in Mitchell. A 55-year-old female was having trouble breathing
  • 5:41 p.m. Report of an erratic driver eastbound in a silver Nissan at State Road 58 West and Armstrong Station Road
  • 6:01 p.m. A person was on station to speak to an officer abut a prowler on their property in the 500 block of Trinton Circle who attempted to steal their air conditioner out of their window
  • 6:03 p.m. A male was at the Mitchell Police Station to report his ex-wife pointed a firearm at their 15year-old son
  • 6:25 p.m. Lift assist in the first block of Moore Lane. A female has fallen
  • 6:28 p.m. Alarm sounding at Valley Mission Church. It was a false alarm a group was having a board meeting
  • 6:41 p.m. Agency assist in the 400 block of West Warren Street due to drugs found in the home
  • 6:47 p.m. Officers were out with a person at State Road 37 and Trogden Lane
  • 6:55 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 between Avoca and Oolitic
  • 7:12 p.m. 911 call reporting a male is acting strange and hitting himself at Johnny Junxions. The male was given a courtesy ride to the Harrodsburg exit

  • 8:51 p.m. Officers were out with a juvenile at Vinegar Hill Road. The person was given a ridge to Trinton Circle
  • 9:17 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at the Oolitic stop light
  • 9:28 p.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at Lincoln Avenue and Menaugh Avenue
  • 9:32 p.m. Report of a suspicious male walking in the roadway at Trogdon Lane and Kentucky Hollow Road
  • 10:33 p.m. 911 call requesting to speak to an ISP trooper about a social security fraud issue. The call was transferred
  • 10:45 p.m. Traffic stop at Patton Hill Road and State Road 37op at State Road 37 and US 50 West. A citation was issued for speeding

  • 11:35 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Old State Road 37. A citation was issued for an equipment violation
  • 11:40 p.m. Deputies made extra patrols in the 820 block of Trinton Circle
  • 11:40 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a male in the 810 block of Motorcross Road. He had a large cut on his right and is staggering around. Police could not find the male

Incidents – Aug. 27

  • 12:26 a.m. Report of a male having psychiatric disorder issues in the 1470 block of Harrodsburg Road
  • 12:44 a.m. 911 call with no one on the line in the 220 block of Dale Street. This is an ongoing problem. An officer was sent to the home. The mother says a child got a hold of the phone while she was sleeping. The Department of Child Services was alerted to investigation possible neglect.
  • 12:59 a.m. Disabled vehicle at Judah Logan Road in the curve
  • 1:31 a.m. 911 call requesting extra patrols in the 37
  • 2:55 a.m. Request for extra patrols on Treslar St, 
  • 4:35 a.m. Repossession of a vehicle in the 1120 block of 18th Street

Accidents – Aug. 27

  • 7:17 a.m. Property damage accident in the 5400 block of Williams Road
  • 2:35 p.m. Property damage accident at State Road 37 and Frank Street
  • 8:25 p.m. Property damage accident with a vehicle leaving the scene in the 7280 block of State Road 158. A semi snagged the utility lines, and the driver was on top of the semi attempting to remove them. The lines are not in the roadway but are blocking the entrance to the church. The pole is leaning. Indian Creek VFD responded
