(BLOOMINGTON) – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Detective Division is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect in a rape investigation.
The sexual assault occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, between 3:30 a.m. and 4:15 a.m.
Police say the victim’s car stalled on Tapp Road, near the intersection of Tapp and Rayle Place.
A motorist in a light blue passenger car stopped to “assist” and assaulted the victim inside his vehicle.
The suspect is described as being 5’5″ to 5’10” with a thin build. He has blonde or light brown, or gray hair, that is shoulder length on the sides and back, but thinning or bald on top. The victim reported smelling alcohol on the suspect’s breath.
